This is the Nasum side of a split picture disc release with Napalm Death. The black line and stipple work was all done by hand in india ink. The color and skin texture were added in Photoshop. The illustration was done in 2008 and the LP was released in 2009.
Aside from the obvious stylistic similarities to Jeff Walker’s work you may notice that there’s a direct nod to the Napalm Death “Scum” album in my artwork.
It was an absolute honor to get to do this illustration as I’m a big Nasum fan. It’ll probably be the last time I ever do a hand stippled ink illustration because the crushing amount of time involved.
